Families of Poisoned Haitian Children File Lawsuit
The families of 35 Haitian children poisoned by a contaminated medicine are suing two European firms.

The families have filed a lawsuit against Helm A.G. of Germany, a chemical manufacturer, and Vos B.V. of the Netherlands, a Helm subsidiary and distributor for its parent company.
The medication was found to contain diethylene glycol, an ingredient of automobile antifreeze.
ISOH/IMPACT arranged for eleven sickened children to come to the U.S. for treatment. The nonprofit organization has sent medical teams to Haiti since the 1970s.
