Hide & Seek

Ten-year-old Esther recently had jaw surgery and is no stranger to the game of “hide and seek”.  Recently, she was spending some quality time with a young hearted pastor. They took a walk to the playroom in the hospital and found it closed for the evening.  While they were walking back to her room, Esther suddenly disappeared. 

 

 

A bit of panic flooded the young hearted pastor. Then he heard her giggling.  When Esther suddenly reappeared, she was all smiles completely unaware of what she had just put the young hearted pastor through.  Breathing a sigh of relief, the young hearted pastor smiled back.  She was never really lost…just playing “hide and seek.” Jeremiah 29:12-13 tells us how we need to seek God:
